Clubbing
Delta 3200 in DD-X. Third of Four in my cell phone series – here, we have a cell phone providing the entire club experience. Without the people. Shot in New…

Social Connectors
Second in a series of four on cell phones. (I’ve lost the film and developer data.) I’ve got two more of these to post, and now a boatload of color…

Navigational Aid
Ilford FP4, DD-X. For those wondering about the silence on the posts: two reasons. First, I’ve been working on gum prints for the last month. Pretty much every night. So…

Huey
A crop from a Mamiya shot; hp5+, Microphen. Huey was happily pickin’ as I walked past him in Suburban Station on the evening of January 5th. I was impressed. While…

Hard Lines and Chilly Softness
Acros 100; Xtol. The deep blankets of snow on everything remind me of a bit of Dickenson: Snow beneath whose chilly softness Some that never lay Make their first Repose…

Racing at the Speed Of Snow
Vroooooooo… wait, whut? Acros 100 developed in Xtol. Acros likes snow, by the way.

A Bit of Snow
Most of my shots recently seem to be of this fella, and I’ve grown a bit reluctant to keep posting him… but I just can’t resist this one. Had I…

Out of Order
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Jim Thorpe, PA with a number of the Philly Photobloggers. This shot came from that morning, in what used to be East…

Mochitsuki
Delta 3200 in Xtol. From the 2011 Mitsuwa rice pounding (“Mochitsuki”) and Lion Dance in New Jersey. I’ve also got three rolls of Pro 160S that are heading out to…

Velociraptor Jake
Ilford HP5+, Microphen. This shot was rescued from a roll that I terribly over-developed (… apparently 18 minutes at 75 degrees is too long for EI 12500). Back story: Jake…

Riverside Church Over Blizzard Detritus
From New Years in Edgewater, NJ – where they got about two feet of snow just before the new year. Piled up wonderfully against the Hudson River. HP5+, Xtol. (Contrast…

Christmas Lego Banana Fish Soup
From Jake’s 2010 Lego Advent Calendar, given to him by his great aunt Heidi. This has to be the coolest advent calendar *ever*. Many thanks to Sue for letting me…

Study In Blue
I’m still getting used to having a computer that doesn’t crash randomly any more – the ability to dive in, find a shot, and post it feels totally alien. (Thanks…

Angel in Blue
This is a “New” Cyanotype, from Mike Ware’s modernized Cyanotype formulation. The image may look familiar to long-time viewers; it’s a rework of a previous image, direct-printed on to an…

Super Powers
One of the most wonderful parts of visiting family in Germany was watching Jake interact with all of them. Like this superhero battle, where (seemingly) Spider-Man is doing battle with…

Bridal Bouquet
German weddings are complicated. To begin with, there are two ceremonies. Even though the government recognizes religion (and collects a “tax” that they give to your designated religion[!]), the German…

The Company Was Better Than Breakfast
You must understand that when I say “better than breakfast”, that’s saying quite a lot — as breakfast was prepared by my aunt (pictured), and is always out-of-this-world. Delta 3200,…

Harvest Festival Hayfight
Finally catching up on a boatload of scanning, and I keep finding stuff I like. Like this one of Jake and me having a hayfight at the Harvest Festival a…

Where Did I Leave That Statue?
Proving that I’m still alive (or that some clever facsimile thereof is able to post to my photoblog): Acros 100 + Microphen. Which, should you try to Google for it,…

Hiding
Portra 800, I believe. (I’d have to go find the film to be sure, but it has the right look to me.) Take a look at the larger version; the…

He Invited Me to Sit, Too
Taken along the Hudson River, near Fort Lee. Delta 3200 (!), EI 1600 (I was apparently finishing off a roll already loaded).
