Shot on Ilford HP5, EI 800, at the Jim Thorpe St. Patty’s Day parade. I’ll have a few more shots of these guys. The insignia on this guy’s backpack really struck me as powerful in B&W – they even offered to turn around and pose, and I turned ’em down.

But back to my quick comment yesterday: I’ve been contemplating the question “Is film ‘better’ than digital?”

Finally – some new material! And in droves. Last weekend was the annual St. Patty’s parade in Jim Thorpe, PA. This year I shot both film and digital, and have some confirmation of commonly held beliefs about shooting the two. And a bit o refutation as well. Look for it tomorrow. 🙂

Monsoon Season

From Drexel’s campus yesterday morning. Seems like Monsoon Season is upon us in Philadelphia – an insane deluge is coming down right now, accompanied with hellacious winds. Our road and driveway once again form Lake Randall. This street shot from yesterday morning, taken with the Diacord G just hours before the shutter release froze up on me, seems quite apropos.

Signs of Life

Fighting an awful cold, but it gave me a chance to snap this one in our back yard today. Not only were the snow drops poppin’, but the Diacord G is alive and kickin’! Hellooooo 1958!
