Falls
I didn’t spend much time out today, but I did manage to finally get a picture of the spring near Manayunk. I think it’s gorgeous this time of year. I’ve…

Door
Got a new lens today, the Canon EF IS 75-300mm USM. This picture was taken a half block away from the actual pile of rubble, which is part of a…

Second Story
I spent most of the day downtown taking shots… and never checked the ISO, which was still set at 400 from last night. No wonder the light meter read so…

Shelter
I’m noticing that a lot of the shots I take have little or no color in them. I wonder if that’s my eye or the time of year — or…

Sycamore
Merry Christmas! We spent some time today with my mother and brother; after leaving them and before heading to Sue’s mom’s, we took a walk through the Norristown cemetary that…

Dove
We finally visited a local nature center last weekend that we’ve been meaning to get to for some time. Since it’s decidedly winter, there was not much outside to photograph.…

Boxcar
I snapped this photo on the train ride home a few days ago. It has lots of digital noise because of the high ISO setting, and the trees in the…

Reflections

Path
I’m fairly happy with the composition (after cropping; before cropping, the photo was just too busy). The colors just aren’t good enough for me. This was the best I could…

Liberties
This picture didn’t come out at all like I wanted. I wanted the liberties more out of focus and the sign more prominent in the picture. I’ll have to go…

Brrr
This is one of a series that I took of frost on the windshield of my car. It’s not actually the best of the series, but I like it because…

Nap Time
My cat, Kraftwerk, in her favorite position — sleeping. In retrospect, I should have cleared the junk off of the nighttable and left just the clock.

Station
I’ve gotten many comments from friends (none here, I notice) that this is one of their favorite shots. Technically, I suppose it’s a pretty nice shot although the framing could…
