This shot comes from this years’ Penn Relays. I rented a Canon 100-400 f4.5-5.6L to see if I could get used to the push-pull zoom. Verdict: possible, but it would be work to get used to it. The weight of the lens makes it difficult to use the push-pull on demand without losing balance. Which is a shame, …[more]

Shot with the 5D, but with my soft 100-300mm IS lens. Now that I’m using it on a full-frame camera, I notice the vignetting that wasn’t apparent on a 1.6 crop sensor…
