Repetition

Fifth, and last, in this cemetery series. I could go on for quite some time more, but I really should draw the line somewhere!

Sue likes this one much more than I do. I think it’s too similar in composition to the first in the series, Cemetery 1. In fact, this shot is about 20 feet in front and to the left of that shot.

Angel 3

Fourth in the cemetery series. This was probably my most successful photo shoot; most of the shots came out pretty much the way I wanted, and I could keep posting shots for at least another week. But I won’t; I’ll post one more from this series tomorrow, and then we’ll move on to a new subject.

I spent most of yesterday and some of today repairing my father-in-law’s old Petri Racer (1967) 35mm rangefinder. The advance lever was opening the shutter on return about 80% of the time. I guess all …[more]

Angel 2

Third in the cemetery/fog series. As I said yesterday, the previous one is my favorite, but I’m interested in other peoples’ opinions and criticisms!

Angel 1

This is the second in the series from the foggy cemetery. I think this one is my favorite, although I wish I had picked up more of the red from the bow. Should have had the flash handy… lesson learned! At least I did remember to set the camera back to ISO 100 for this shoot. For once.

Cemetery 1

This morning I was happy to see that the fog from last night had only gotten thicker! Before work I spent a half hour in a nearby cemetary taking shots. The next couple of days will be shots from this series that I really like.

This one is our least favorite of the series. Too much sky overhead doing nothing. I desaturated it because the not-quite-green grass didn’t lend much to the shot, but I”m not sure that it is any better in black and white.
