So while I’m working on getting my printing lab back in usable shape (and developing the remainder of the film that’s down there, damaged from the flood or not) I’ve started going through some of this digital debris that’s piling up on my hard drive. Nothing like the lack of a darkroom to sway one away from film. Hopefully just for a short while…
While flipping through what I’ve got, this one jumped out at me. I might actually miss something about the quality of digital shots. Huh.
I love the blue in the street against the warm buildings alongside, and the streetlight during apparent daytime is awesome. I might consider cropping from the top to eliminate the blown sky, letting it be implied by the lightness of the building in the background and the reflections in the street. (I’d also experiment with straighten it up a bit.)
I do so love Philly. You’ve made the city beautiful again. I want a print of this.
